Job description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in fabrication and truck repairs to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with the ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, as well as experience in welding and fabrication. This role will primarily involve performing routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment, including diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with diesel engines and other mechanical systems
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed
- Work on heavy-duty trucks and equipment for our fleet.
- Perform diagnostic tests and inspect components for wear and tear
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify problems and make necessary repairs
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment to identify problems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean record
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
